Getting married is one of the most special times of your life. Regardless of if you elope alone with your partner or choose to celebrate with your closest people, It should be a reflection and celebration of who you are and the love you share. I lean towards a more documentary style of shooting both photo and video because it allows the essence of who you are and the energy of your wedding to shine through. Rather than spending your wedding being posed and prompted every second, I want you to LIVE it to the fullest with each other. I want you to see your photos or video and be taken back in time to what it really felt like.

My goal is for you to never have to pick and choose but rather have coverage that fits your needs perfectly. where should we take engagement photos
My first questions when we are planning this are "what are your favorite things to do together?" and "What is most important to you?" Regardless, I want this experience to feel FUN and even like a date if it can. We will plan and pick a place and a vibe that feels true to you and one that you are excited about!
Do you travel?
Absolutely! I am willing to go just about anywhere you are willing to take me. I love to document full experiences so that you can remember it all.
do you shoot digital or film?
Both! I love hybrid shooting and every gallery will include some film photos in addition to the digital images.
what is a story session
A story session is a time for us to film you being normal basically! I want you to be able to remeber yourself in this season, not just glammed up and shiny for your wedding day (even though that is SO fun and we will get it all). It's a way to incorporate really personal things that are important to you that we might not have time for on wedding day. Some examples of story sessions- making dinner at home, playing with your dogs, walking on the beach, etc.!

First, I want to start by saying to anyone who is on the fence about getting a videographer for their wedding day, DO IT. And choose Thread Film Co while you’re at it! I have heard so many people say they don’t know if they’ll actually watch their film through the years, and I’m here to tell you… you will. I have watched my film more times than I can count within the last year. I always tell everyone that my wedding day was one of the best days of my life. It’s a day that I genuinely want to relive over and over. Luckily, I had Sydney with Thread Film Co there to capture it all so that I could. The day itself held a lot of emotions, and Sydney made Cole and I feel completely comfortable to be ourselves in front of her camera. My wedding season itself was a tough time for me, as I lost my father just three months after I got engaged. I struggled through grief while also planning my wedding, so the thought of having someone film me during such a vulnerable time in life was very scary. Sydney went above and beyond to bring out the happiest parts of mine and Cole’s wedding day. She was light hearted and fun. She was encouraging and compassionate. She didn’t make anything awkward, and allowed us to be ourselves. The biggest thing she did that I could never repay her for, is she came out to the place Cole proposed to me (the place where we one day will build our forever home) and filmed prior to the wedding. This allowed me to talk on camera and get some pre wedding jitters out, and also capture some really special moments out on our family farm. It also allowed me to get several voice overs for our film in a place and environment that I felt comfortable talking on camera. This allowed me to completely enjoy my wedding day without having to talk and get upset on camera the day of. I truly couldn’t thank Sydney enough for all she did to make my film a true masterpiece. She went above and beyond, and for that I’m forever grateful. It is worth the money and you will never regret being able to watch your film back through the years. If I had to do it again- I would choose Thread Film Co over and over.
